Microsoft Access on Mac

Unfortunately, a Mac version of Microsoft Access does not exist. However, students needing Access for a class may use the Apporto website to virtually use a Windows computer with Access installed. There is no installation necessary.

  1. Go to https://kean.apporto.com/
  2. Log in with your KeanGoogle e-mail.
  3. Locate the card with the Windows icon under the "App store" heading and click "Launch"
  4. A new window will open with a virtual Windows computer screen inside. You may use it the same way you would use any Windows computer in person.

For Windows computers, Access is included in the Microsoft Office suite installer.

Saving Your Work

In order to transfer files between your computer and the virtual computer, use the cloud buttons on the top bar. Use "upload" to send files from your computer to Apporto, and use "download" to send files from Apporto to your computer. By default, Apporto will list the Desktop files for download; click on the folder path to browse for other locations.

You may also use the "create a snapshot" and of the computer to restore it at a later time. However, manually backing up your work is recommended.
