SPSS Installation and Licensing Instructions - Windows

1. Download the Software
   Navigate to: Kean University Software Store
   (You may be asked to log in with your Kean credentials)
2. Select Windows Version
   Click on the Windows folder to access the Windows installation files.
3. Download the MSI File
   Select and download the ***.msi file for SPSS.
4. Handle Download Warning (if prompted)
   When prompted, select the "DOWNLOAD ANYWAY" option.
5. Note Download Location
   Take note of where the file is downloading for reference later.
6. Run the Installer
   Once downloaded, double-click on the ***.msi installer file.
7. Begin Installation
   From the first window, choose "Next".
8. Accept License Agreement
   Select the radio button to accept the terms in the license agreement, then click "Next".
9. Install Python Tools (Recommended)
   When asked if you want to install IBM SPSS Statistics – Essentials for Python, we recommend you select "Yes" and then click "Next".
10. Accept Python License Terms
    Accept the license terms for Python tools and click "Next".
11. Accept SPSS License
    Select "I accept the terms in the license agreement" for use of the SPSS software, then click "Next".
12. Choose Destination Folder
    Leave the default installation location unless you have a specific reason to change it. Choose "Next".
13. Install
    On the final window, choose "Install".
14. Complete Installation
    Wait for the installation to complete. Select the box to "Start SPSS Statistics License Authorization Wizard now", then select "Finish".
15. Launch License Wizard
    The software should automatically launch. Select "Authorized user license..." and click "Next".
16. Enter Authorization Code: 554f526eb41375877063
17. Click "Next" after entering the code.
    
18. Confirm Authorization
    After entering the correct code, you will be prompted to confirm. Select "Next".
19. Finish
    Click "Finish" to complete the authorization process.

SPSS Installation and Licensing Instructions - Mac

1. Download the Software
   Navigate to: Kean University Software Store
   (You may be asked to log in with your Kean credentials)
2. Select Mac Version
   Click on the Mac folder to access the Mac installation files.
3. Download the PKG File
   Select and download the ***.pkg file you wish to install.
4. Handle Download Warning (if prompted)
   When prompted, select the "DOWNLOAD ANYWAY" option.
5. Allow Downloads
   When prompted to allow downloads, select "Allow".
6. Monitor Download Progress
   You should see the download in progress on your dock.
7. Open Downloads Folder
   Open your downloads in Finder.
8. Run the Installer
   Double-click on the ***.pkg installer file.
9. Begin Installation
   From the first window, choose "Continue".
10. Accept License Agreement
    Select "Continue" when prompted with the License Agreement.
11. Agree to Install
    When prompted to continue installing the software, select "Agree".
12. Choose Installation Type
    Keep the default installation type and select "Install".
13. Installation in Progress
    Wait for the installation to complete. You will see a progress screen, which is completely normal.
14. Complete Installation
    Once installation is completed, click "Close".
15. Move Installer to Trash (Optional)
    If prompted to move the installer to Trash, you can choose "Move to Trash".
16. Locate SPSS Folder
    Open Finder and look for the folder called "IBM SPSS Statistics". Double-click to open its contents.
17. Launch SPSS Statistics
    Inside the folder, select SPSS Statistics and double-click on it.
18. Launch License Wizard
    You will be prompted with a licensing screen. Choose "Launch License Wizard".
19. Begin Authorization
    On the License Wizard welcome screen, choose "Next".
20. Select License Type
    Leave the default selected: "Authorized user license (I purchased a single copy of the product)", then click "Next".
21. Enter Authorization Code: 554f526eb41375877063
22. Click "Next" after entering the code.
23. Confirm Authorization
    After entering the correct code, you will be prompted to confirm. Select "Next".
24. Finish
    Click "Finish" to complete the authorization process.
