How to connect to eduroam on a Windows device

What is EDUROAM?


Eduroam (education roaming) is a free and encrypted worldwide roaming wireless service that allows University students, faculty, staff, and visitors from other participating institutions to connect securely to the Internet.

How do I Connect to EDUROAM?


Many people will be able to connect by using the Windows built-in menus.

  1. Go to the Start menu located at the bottom left of your screen
  2. Click on the Settings icon

3. Click Network & Internet

4. Select  WiFi from the top left.


5. Ensure WiFi is on and select Eduroam from the list of available WiFi networks.

  • Click on Connect

  • You will be prompted for a username and password. Enter your email address, username@yourcollege.edu, and password, then click OK.


Please Note: If your computer has not yet received the Eduroam certificate validating that your connection is encrypted, it may display a  Windows Security Alert  warning message stating, “The connection attempt could not be completed.”

  • You can press a button to view Details.


6. Click on Connect
