Introduction
Outlook allows users to define their working hours to help organize their calendar, manage availability, and ensure scheduling tools to reflect when they are available.
Set Working Hours in Outlook
- Sign in to Outlook.
- Select Settings (gear icon) in the top-right corner.
- Choose Calendar, then select Work hours and location.
- Check the days of the week to reflect your schedule.
- Adjust start and end times as needed.
- Adjust remote and office locations per day of the week.
- Select OK or Save to save your changes.
Important Notes
- Once working hours are set in Outlook, they sync across all Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams.
- Working hours help prevent meetings from being scheduled outside of your availability but do not block time automatically.
- Changes may take a few minutes to reflect across Microsoft 365 apps.
- Ensure your work hours' time zone is correct based on where you are located.
