Reporting in Outlook for Web Browser
- Go to your Inbox and select the email you wish to report.
- In the ribbon above your inbox, you'll see a button with a shield icon labeled as Report. Click the Report button.
- A window will appear to confirm you want to report the email for phishing. Click Report again to confirm.
- The email is now reported for phishing and is removed from your Inbox.
Reporting in Outlook Desktop App
- Go to your Inbox and select the email you wish to report.
- In the ribbon above your inbox, you'll see a button with a shield icon labeled as Report. Click the Report button.
- A notification will appear at the bottom of the screen that confirms you reported the email for phishing. If you reported an email by mistake, you can undo the action by clicking the Undo button in the notification.
- The email is now reported for phishing and is removed from your Inbox.
Reporting in Outlook for Mobile
- Go to your Inbox and select the email you wish to report.
- When viewing the email, there will be three horizontal dots in the top right of the screen. Select the three dots and a menu will appear with multiple options. Press the Report Junk button.
- Another menu will appear, this time at the bottom of the screen. Select the phishing button to report the email.
- There may or may not be a pop up afterwards asking you if you wish to report the email to Microsoft, choose the No, thanks option.
- A notification will appear at the bottom of the screen confirming you've reported the email. If you reported an email by mistake, you can undo the action by clicking the Undo button in the notification.
- The email is now reported for phishing and is removed from your Inbox.
