Disabling Email Reminders for Unopened Shared Files

Introduction 

OneDrive automatically sends email reminders for shared files that have not been opened. File owners can turn off these notifications through OneDrive settings.  

This article is intended for files owners in OneDrive and that would like to stop receiving email reminders for shared files that recipients have not yet opened. 

Solution Steps 

OneDrive automatically send email reminders for  shared files that have not been opened. To dsiable these notification, the file owner must follow these steps:

  1. Go to OneDrive using a web browser.
  2. Sign in with your University credentials.
  3. Click the Gear icon in the top right corner, then select OneDrive settings.

  4. Navigate to the Notifications tab and toggle off "Reminders for missed sharing emails".
