Introduction
To ensure all Kean managed devices have access to university printers, Kean IT has provided universal print functionality for faculty and staff.

Windows Installation
1. Start Device
Start your device and press the Windows key.
2. Open Printers & Scanners
In the search bar, type "Printers & Scanners" and select it from the list.
3. Add a Printer
Once the Printers & Scanners window opens, click “Add Device.”
4. Choose Work or School
A prompt will appear with a dropdown menu. Select “Work or School.”
5. Select a Search Location
If your department’s printer isn’t listed, click “Select a search location” and choose the building where you're located.
6. Connect the Printer
From the list, select the printer you want to connect to.
7. Ready Status
The system will begin connecting the printer to your device.
8. You're All Set
Once the printer is successfully connected, its status will change to “Ready.”
macOS Installation
1. Open Launchpad
Open Launchpad from your dock or by pressing F4.
2. Search for Universal Print
In the search bar, type "Universal Print".
3. Open Printers & Scanners
Select "Universal Print" under Printers & Scanners.
4. Sign In
Sign in using your Kean University credentials.
5. Add Printer
Once signed in, click "Add Printer."
6. Search by Location
If you don't see your desired printer, click "Search by printer location."
7. Select Building
Select the building where you are located and choose the printer you wish to add.
8. Add
Click "Add."
9. Printer Status
The printer will appear under "Printers available to use on this Mac", showing a status of "Idle."
10. Confirm Installation
Confirm the installation by going to System Settings > Printers & Scanners and locating the printer you added.
