Introduction
This solution explains how instructors can link W.W. Norton course materials (such as Norton Illumine Ebook, InQuizitive, Smartwork, or ZAPS) to their Canvas course using the W.W. Norton external tool integration (LTI). Integrating W.W. Norton allows instructors and students to access digital textbooks, assignments, quizzes, and learning activities directly within Canvas. Grades from Norton assignments can automatically sync to the Canvas Gradebook.
This solution should be used when a course requires W.W. Norton digital materials or assignments that need to connect with Canvas. Linking W.W. Norton ensures students can access publisher content from within the Canvas course and allows grades to transfer automatically to the Canvas Gradebook.
This solution is for instructors who are using W.W. Norton learning platforms and want students to access course materials directly through Canvas without needing separate logins. Linking Norton content through Canvas provides a streamlined experience and keeps course materials in one location.
Before linking W.W. Norton to Canvas, the following requirements should be met:

- The instructor must have an active W.W. Norton instructor account
