Okta - Add or Remove MFA Options

To ensure you have continuous access to your Kean account, you'll need to set up Okta Verify (multi-factor authentication) on your new phone. It's easier if you have both your new and old phone.

Okta - Add or Remove MFA Options

MFA options can be updated after the initial enrollment from the Okta Profile page. You can remove and add new factors. To update already enrolled factors, you will have to remove the factor and set the factor back up. The steps below provide instructions on getting to the Okta profile page and how to remove and add factors.


Access your Okta Profile page

  • Browse to the Okta user settings page.
  • Log in using your Kean credentials.
  • You will be prompted to re-enter Kean password (click Verify once entered) and then you will need to satisfy an MFA prompt.

Add A Factor

 

  • Locate the Extra Verification section.

  • On the factor that you wish to set up, click the Set up button.

 

  • Depending on what factor you have selected, please reference the appropriate KB article below:

Remove A Factor

  • Locate the Extra Verification section.

  • On the factor that you wish to remove, click the Remove button.

  • The factor has been removed and you are done. You should also receive an email to your Kean email address alerting you that the factor has been reset.
