At Kean University, we have partnered with Okta to offer a straightforward and convenient Single Sign-On solution. By utilizing Okta alongside your Kean credentials, you can securely log in to multiple applications with ease, ensuring both convenience and enhanced security. This article will go over the process of resetting and updating your password challenge in Okta.

How Do I Change my Password in Okta?

At the Sign In screen, enter your Kean username and password without including “@kean.edu,” as shown below, and then click Sign In.

After you’ve logged in to the MyApps page, click on the drop-down menu located in the top right corner of the screen and choose “Settings” from the options.

On the Settings page, you have two choices:

1. Change your password: In the top right box labeled “Change LDAP Password,” enter the password provided to you in the first field, then create and enter a new personal password in the two fields below.

2. Update your Forgotten Password Question: In the box below the password change section, click the “Edit” button to select and set a new question and answer.

3. Update your Secondary Email: In the "Personal Information" box, click the "Edit" button, add your Secondary Email and save your changes. You will need to confirm your secondary email by following the emailed instructions.
